Gasket Material for Venturi
Was curious if any of the experience has made and had success in punching gaskets from other material to make Venturi gaskets. I am waiting patiently for a shipment of rubber Venturi gaskets HOWEVER still not arrived. When they do great. However is there a suitable flat gasket material that can be sued and punched to work in the interim? Really like to get those parts up and flying argggg.
Thanks

I just used suitable sized silicone fuel tubing. Cut a bunch on a bamboo skewer in a drill and picked the ones that looked the best.

Hi aspeed
Yes I have done that in the past. However the silicone "squishes" out the sides after just a flight or two. Maybe I cut too thick?
Thanks

Re: Gasket Material for Venturi
Ice, I used paper-punches (1/8" and 1/4") to make mine. The glove material is sponge-rubber.
installed.. loosely
installed.. compressed
A subject gasket's inner-hole diameter to fit the Bee engine's 5 or 8cc tank-bowl venturi's is .140". My example being .125" is a tight (stretch-fit) onto the seating-area. This fit hasn't interfered with the function.. in my cases.
