I've had this heli for a long time. I never used it or ran it. I decided to try it today and it was just outright fun. This thing started on the first flip, every time. The tank configured for the Sure Start leaks a bit so what was happening was the engine would starve for fuel when leaned up. Running it rich yielded higher longer flights and it was really neat. When this thing gets up to speed, it really moves up and fast. We did a right off the ground take off which I thought was pretty neat. https://www.facebook.com/PhillyFliersCL/ The one flight was just too rich and the rotors wouldn't spin fast enough for the counterweights to clear the tail rotor.

Great Flights! Nice to have a young runner to go pick up the heli after a successful flight!
Nice videos too!

They seem to autorotate nicely with the fuse stable.  I used to wonder when I was a kid if there were a way to make it stable on the way up, maybe with some "trim tabs" on the fuse to pick up some of the downdraft...

Oh, that should not be happening!  A few hard landings and the rotors may need to have a re-alignment. See the attached photos.
