Item may be found by searching "1996 Cox Medallion".

Fact it is missing the cylinder and that matching .051 cylinder-piston sets are hard to find. Seems its best value if picked up reasonably (already has 5 bids at $16.50 with 3-3/4 days to go), is to install a replacement Tee Dee .049 set and put to use (or shelve).

Someone with the right machining tools probably could ream out the .049 cylinder to .051 and see if they could get the .051 piston to fit. Since I have never tried that, it would be a YMMV situation (your mileage may vary, and my suggestion above is only my opinion and thus has YMMV attached to it Smile ).

You have a good point, Levent, without the paperwork, I think it's value is less because anyone could closely mimic the hand engraved numbers and falsely claim it is genuine, however it is a toss up as one sees very few Medallion .051's. It's value then is in the eyes of the beholder.

Personally I see it as more or less just a parts engine, but then that is me.

I'm glad I have my prize, a good used .049 Medallion engine complete with glow head for under $30 (shipping included) off the bay 2 years ago. Very Happy

It may seem odd, but others that I have seen photos of that did appear to be genuine (may be even in this forum) had somewhat sloppy hand engraved numbers.

Y have new nffs piston dont want second piston without the cylinder rest of the engine is interesting y hope som one wit nffs cylinder can complète the engine
