Re: Looking for Plans
It looks like a Goodyear racer. Couldn't find same plane plan, but there is a similar one:
https://www.modelaviation.com/margaretjune
It can be drawn to suitable size plan.

Re: Looking for Plans
Think this is a Polen Special. They were kitted by a guy named Dave Shipton outside the Chicago area.
The full scale one was a real speed demon.

Re: Looking for Plans
Uliner has it right. This Polen Special was designed and kitted by Dave Shipton of Delavan, IL. Dave was best known as the designer of the SIG Deweybird, but kitted other of his designs himself, including this 1/2A Polen Special, and a .35 size version of the Deweybird.
Marleysky, yes I do have the plans.
My much-abused example.

Re: Looking for Plans
Wow. Both planes look very nice. I like the whole 'hidden engine' concept. Do you have the plans in digital format, or just a paper copy? I looked earlier and all I had found was reference to a built up wing version, but a bit bigger, and a small free flight version.

Cool!! Do you want to sell, share, copy or reprint? I'd be interested. I probably could do a "TLAR" off the picture you attached, but prefer to use actual dimensions!!! Please let me know.

Re: Looking for Plans
Marleysky, (or anyone who would like a copy) just PM me an Email address for a pdf copy. Give me a few days to get it scanned. Dave would be delighted to know his model was still being built and flown.

Re: Looking for Plans
Duane,
You must have access to a large format scanner. Or will you scan sections and stitch together the pieces?

Re: Looking for Plans
Plans have been sent to all who requested them.
Of course, they are all now obligated to post pictures of their completed models!
If anyone else would like a copy, let me know.
