Kraguj - Sparrowhak - 1970's Yugoslavia CL kit retro replica
Few years ago, i build Kraguj - Sparrowhak - 1970's Yugoslavia CL kit (09 engine) retro replica intended to be electric , (poor flyer, too heavy) and converted to COX Sure Start. Its still heavy, but flyable .
Few pics and plans from old model magazine and actual kit plans.
Slightly smaller and simplified plans redrawn.
And electric version build and finished,
Electric flight video,
And converted to Cox Sure Start, engine tested,
And two yesterday's flights ,
and wing camera view

good Fun !! If i may suggest if you have a Black Widow , Put it on the front of that plane , Look's like your on 42" lines ? The speed is acceptable to fly but is under powered as it struggles to stay in the air .. Nice Looking plane too

Lines are 30" , Spectra, but plane is heavy , 26 in wingspan , and will need more power, which i waiting to arrive, bought one Medallion 09 at EBAY. Hope this speed up this Sparrowhawk.

I’ll echo Eric’s comments. It’s definitely struggling. However you are only flying in circles and not performing stunts. The speed now is just a little slower than stunt contest speed. A peppier .049 would probably do the trick, The .09 would wake it up nicely, and is probably more suited to that airframe. Your engine run was also a little rough. It shouldn’t be coughing through the run or almost cutting out. It should sound clean from beginning to end.
You didn’t ask for criticism, so I am hesitant to post anything negative. It just needs a little work to make a fine flying machine. I am happy to see video of it flying and in such a far reaching place. Good job!
