Enya wrenches for the Enya .049-II / Enya .06-II / Enya .08 and Enya .10
I've moved on from the cleaned up Enya .049-II and completed a cleaning of an Enya .06-II.
Now I have started to do a rebuild/cleaning of an Enya .10 Series 1 engine.
What I have come across is the different wrenches for the different engines.
Just like Cox, Enya has different wrenches (spanners) for the above engines.
Never had problems taking apart the engines until now.
I mostly have taken apart the .049 and .06 engines and used the wrench(spanner) that was in the box or borrowed the wrench from the same engine to tear one down that didn't have a wrench.
I also have purchased wrenches (spanners) from Ken Enya which says the engines it will fit.
Now today I tried to take apart an Enya .10 engine with the wrench I was using on the .049 and .06 to remove the piston cylinder.
It didn't fit? What gives?
So, the rest of today I looked into the different engine boxes to see what is the difference between the wrenches (spanners).
What I found out was this.
The Enya .049 wrenches for piston cylinder removal is 8.75mm.
I measured the width where the exhaust ports are and it measures 8.6mm
The Enya .06 wrench for piston cylinder removal measures 9.0mm.
I measured the width where the exhaust ports are and it measures 8.9mm
The Enya .10 wrench for piston cylinder removal measures 10.0mm.
I measured the width of the .08 and .10 engines where the exhaust ports are and it measures 9.7mm for the Enya .08 and the Enya .10 exhaust port width measures 9.9mm.
Below are photos of the different wrenches (spanners)
The one Ken Enya sell for the .049 and .06 is loose on the .049 but is an o.k. fit to the .06 engine but it won't fit on the .08 and .10 engines. You'll have to file the width wider to fit the bigger engines.
