Hi,

Have swap offer for some of my vintage diesels for this TEE DEE 049/51 but seller have no idea is it 049 or 051?

Any help from CEF members to determine the type?

Its a .051 and To make sure look on the piston skirt for the ligne Just look in the exhaust opening. The .051 have a distinctive line on its piston plus with a screen filter on ventury the ...jerobee tee dee use the same screen filter But with the black body and the motor turns in the opposite direction Small Cox Logo

Engine arrived, its mildly (if any) used /run and i just do some close inspection , looks its 0.51 Tee Dee, as @davidll1984 suggested.
Just glow head gasket looks to "fat" , its 0.8mm wide.
Suppose its not original factory assembly configuration.

Great .051 near mint looks like balsa and dust on it.

That is a Nice looking .051 TD , It should pair good with the plane you show , Good looking TDs and Medallions Very Happy

The triple gasket is for the running-in I think it even says in the manual This procedure must be done also with the norvel engine ad two gasket To reduce performance and run richer so as not to damage the piston which becomes too tight and it overheats when the engine break-in period is not over A good break-in is important to do it correctly for maximum performance. Thanx for the tip, will do some break in on the bench, just to be safe with this 051.
