Zac:
I don't believe Cox .15 Special exists by that name. Go to the Cox Engine Collection Site on the homepage to find a better description of what you want.

Dave, LOL, my site only has engines in my collection! Martin Hepperle has the Cox database with just about every cox engine made and tons of info. http://www.mh-aerotools.de/airfoils/cox_frameset.htm

Re: .15 Cox Special
Pretty much any but a CL venturi is preferred.
You want a glow engine I presume and not a diesel.
You could get one of these.

Re: .15 Cox Special
If you want to stay Cox then you can get a Medallion 15 for about $30 on eBay. Most TD 15 engines start at $100 and go up. There is also the Cox Conquest 15. A real screamer with a tuned pipe.

.15
Jr Satan is pretty small plane. TD .09 would work, Medallion .15. Norvel .15 would be to much engine. Magnum/ OS/Fox/Mecoa make engines in .15 size. TD .09's are pretty reasonable. You could get lucky with a Cox TD .15 but are hard to find outside of ebay.

Yeah, maybe even a Medallion .09 might run that sucker pretty nicely. The Fox .15's I have seem to run great, though they look to be a bit heavier-cased than the Cox versions. Never weighed them...note to self....!

Re: .15 Cox Special
The JR Satan was bigger than Lil Satan and smaller than VooDoo. Todays FAI .15 size planes are bigger than old fast .36 combat ships. Yes you could use a TD .15 but hope you like fast. I would go for the TD .09. OS makes a hot .15. Conquest .15 is hot, or if you want to be Iotola of rock& rolla Cyclon PC-9 will get you down the road.

Bob, Just doing background check on TD15 MK2 is what I thought it was before bidding ended. Saw what Jason said one sold for back a few years. Whew, It didn’t go nearly that high. Seller is auctioning off Dads stuff, and claims to “not know what the stuff is, look at pictures and you decide what it is.” ...Ok, i think Ive found a gem.

I've got one but I'm not so sure about the crankshaft it has. The induction port is round, not rectangular as one would expect with a Tee Dee. Anybody know for sure?

Ah , sorry. Usually if someone wants something off E.bay they’ll post a note on it here and we’ll try not to complete with each other. Does not happen often. When I checked and found someone had paid $346 for a nicer one a while back, I set a higher limit for myself and my bid.
