Today I removed the home made head shim and put the two new factory made shims in along with the old original one. Before I took the home made one out, I cranked and tached it. After it cooled, I made the change and cranked it again. Identical readings on the tach.

I made plans to practice with Wayne on Tuesday. After that, I'm fixing her up to be pretty again and won't crank it again until I get to Hville.
