Hi guys, Having been using this forum since becoming a born again Cox fan. I now have yet another question. Being from the silent flight fraternity, my knowledge of fuel is nonexistant. Having just run out of fuel for my cox engines I need some more. I'm now paranoid about the fuel to use in my engines. Not keen on mixing my own, Anybody here in the UK got any suggestions?

If you don't get an answer here you could always PM John Goddard and ask. He has probably bought a quart or two. Wink

Yo Ebz
If you've got a local supply look at Modeltechnics
Gn15/25 ideally or even the Gx15/25.
If you're ever around Southend they'll let you pick
It up so you'll know it's fresh/some of the stuff in shops
Has been gathering dust since before Cox stopped
Making engines.
My favoured source is Southern model craft down
In Tonbridge where Dave will mix whatever you want.
If you can wait a couple weeks I'm going down there
The weekend after next and am happy to get you some.
Very Happy

On the leaflet Bernie you're recommending Duraglo without adding castor.
It's wrong, total oil content 15% with only 6% castor.

If you can't get much else, try to get Byron fuel. I have tried both their 1/2A straight castor fuel and their Byron race ProDriver 3000 Gen2 fuel (car fuel). I did bump the oil content up in both of the fuels. While their straight castor fuel was probably fine the way it was, I still bumped it up to 20% from 16%.

Maybe you could contact their UK distributor and see if they will order you the 1/2A fuel.
