Headed out to my Uncle Waynes' house this morning, intending to put some trim flights on my Sin-Bot Sailplane (fuse of a Berkley "Sinbad", with a Zaic-style wing like that used on Bird of Time sailplanes and Thermic Gliders).

The wind, however, just kept picking up, getting way too high for an .020 powered sailplane, so...I helped my Uncle Wayne do some set-up/finish work on the Ace Sky Scout that was started by my late Cousin Bill back in the 1980's.

The plane is little on the heavy side, and I'm hoping that my Uncle's engine of choice, an old/new Veco .19 will pull it into the sky. Hope to do flight-report on it next weekend.

My cousin, Carol, was assigned number-cutting duties for some of the final decorative trim. The number "84" represents my Uncle Waynes' age this year.

Parked on Waynes' kitchen table, "Ole 84" waits for a calmer day to make it's first flight, and is then returned to it's own table.

Wayne had also been rummaging in some of his parts boxes, and found these two "Flashback Items" for me. I think the AMF/Wen Mac handle came with a Wen Mac Skyraider I got for Christmas in the 1960's before Wayne came along and steered me to Mr. Leroy's PT-19. The fairly well-worn J-Roberts style bellcrank came from (I think) an SE-5A, owned and flown by a friend of Waynes.
