Ok, low rates like you and Indra suggest. Not sure how to set that up just yet. I need to study up on my DX5E and figure out how to "bind" my receiver. Indra said he would fly over and give me a hand, I may have to call him out on that one! Very Happy

Binding,
Turn on the Reciever with a bind plug plugged in.
Then with the transmitter off hold down the trainer switch and turn the transmitter on.
After several seconds it should bind.
On the top right there is a switch that says high/low set that to low and you are good for to maiden.

Seriously tho if you're a mite shakey IMHO the best tool I've come across is the Pheonix
Sim. Even if your PC ain't 'all that' it will run OK, some of the others stutter.
With a bit of ram and a warmish video card it is almost like 'being there'.
My personal goal for the last couple years was a maneuver called a Rolling Harrier
and I just could NOT get there. Practice a hour each evening for a few weeks and it's
second nature now.
I can tell my pupils (hark at me blind leading the blind) that practice at home cos they're
the ones who'll struggle before going home on Sunday evening and pop up like pro's
and full of confidence 7 days later.

'Teach' mmmmm may be stretching it a little.
I seem to have pulled the wool over the eyes of most of our guys but
I sorta 'advise' ish.
I've told you to get your backside over Enfield anytime you want.

But if you're stuck Indra as above to Ron, get yourself a Pheonix
and checkout Bone Doc's 3d clinic on Utube.

I can fly some. But only have experience with "lekky" park flyers John.

A sim might not be a bad idea!

I second John's recommendation for the Phoenix. You can get it with a Spektrum DX5e transmitter or as a standalone and use your own TX. While the DX5e is a fully working TX, it's not much punkin' and I think you would be better off getting a fully computerized radio.
I think some of the other sims have slightly better fixed wing physics, the Phoenix is the choice for heli practice.
