.045 baby spitfire !
I was going through some stuff from purchases of the bay , and found this interesting looking engine ( 2 baby spitfire ) done some research , It was a Mel Anderson design from 1949 Or so , seem he had some friends / business adventures with Bill Atwood and Leroy Cox . Well anyway I am not good at typing and there is a nice little read on this if you care at http://www.craftsmanshipmuseum.com/MelAnderson.htm I believe I will keep this one even though it needs a needle you never know what will pop up may find one down the road . I would love to run this little honey ! She is all gummed up and we know that it was probably running before setting up !! Getback

Re: .045 baby spitfire !
I got myself one of those a couple of years back. Purchased as a complete runner but when it arrived it was missing the needle. The seller apologised and sent me a full refund, and I kept the engine. I managed to get hold of a new Kap Pak replacement needle. Doesn't look original but will be functional. It's out of a Wen Mac Aeromite because it has the rear tank & mounting stud.
Getback, looks like you're missing one half of the spray bar. They're a 2 piece and screw in from either side. That might be the harder part to locate. Still, hold on to it. You never know what you might come across.

The nipple for the fuel line screws in one side, and the threaded part for the needle screws in from the other side. You should notice the missing side has a thread in the hole. If not, then it has been stripped. The nipple on the opposite side should just unscrew.
