First tach of my Red Arrow .049
Hi all, here's a video of my first tach reading from my Red Arrow which is going on my new sig skyray, its still somewhat on the tight side but is improving. It tickled 16K at the very end of the run. Later on I got 16.5, fuel is Sig champion 25% prop is a cox grey comp 5x3 and temp was around 65 deg F. Oh and btw I'm not the best at videos lol (Bandit)

Sounds good. Like you said, she'll speed up with more run time. And I get the lowest RPMs from Cox props than any other brand. I like Master Airscrews cut down to size for my sport flying 1/2As. They turn a good bit faster for me. APCs too. They break easily but they're cheap at Onmimodels e-bay store.
Thanks for the video.

Not a Bad run with 17.500
being tops ? few more runs I think that will bee a good runner for your skyray, I see you have a Globee Tach do you like this tach for I am going to be looking for one . Swap meet coming up in January if I cant score there , will have to go another route , Thanks for the video too . Eric

No problem and Thanks! and you are correct, the advertized RPM is 17,500 And about the tach, yes I do like it, I've had this tach for a long time and it's been a good one been through heck too. I like it more than my hanger9 tach. If you get it used, like with any other optical tach , make sure the sensor is not damaged and do the light bulb test. Never though about cutting down an MA Razorprop as I call them I've got a bunch of MA 6x3's in my box. I do need to get some APC's though for testing my tach race engine once i get it finished. And I'm glad you liked the video. (Bandit)RknRusty wrote:Sounds good. Like you said, she'll speed up with more run time. And I get the lowest RPMs from Cox props than any other brand.
