Same here Robert. years ago I built my first model airplane, a Guillows Spad. Painted it just like the box. Pre-teen I'm sure as I hadn't discovered girls yet. Model left an image that I have never been able to shake.
Last year I came across one just like it for sale on eaby and bought it.
My stash of unbuilts and partials, up in the loft out of sight out of mind but they still haunt me.
