url=https://servimg.com/view/19124486/88]fuel proofing with this 00814[/url]  I used this to wrap around my fuel tank on my guillows p 40 . I wraped it around the tank and pushed it into the nose of the airplane. I then used the sticky back part of the wrap to adhere to the front of the plane and bolted on the firewall. Trimed the excess off and instant fuelproof.I tested it with 30% nitro and it seems to be working

I have a might long roll of doculam and I think it might work as you used it. From the sounds of it, you created fuel proof layer at your firewall? Bolted your engine over the film? If you punctured the layer of Glad material with bolts/screws, won't fuel/oil seep thru. Maybe I didn't understand exactly.

Ive used the press on stuff for building, protecting plans (does not come off nicely after a few weeks) and even to apply clamping pressure.

I have never used it on a finished plane.

Yes photos please as from the description I am not seeing the fuel proofing... by wrapping the fuel tank in a plastic

I have on occasion (not desiring the PITA of Dope) fuel proofed the inside of a Bladder tube with fast cal or other similar sticky backed plastic coverings even wide packaging tape and when weight was not a big issue I use thinned down epoxy

We have used press on to cover some 1/2A foam combat wings as an experiment. It worked ok. It doesn't have a really long lifespan but neither does a combat ship.
