which engines.

I have built a fair number of models from kits now, and have now built an aztec two step from plans. Its turned out very well and is completely finished with radio gear installed (excluding engines). now engines is a must.
  the plans call up for two cox tee dee 020's however, I think two pee wee's would be ample for a 30" twin.
this would be ideal as I already have a pee wee but am finding it difficult to find a pee wee like mine, and in the same condition to mine.
      The question is, would two 049's be way too much for such a model? The reason is i could get two identical reproduction engines for a very reasonable price.

The .049's might be a bit much for it, if you want to go with the .049's I would go with Baby Bee's with the props turned around backwards this will reduce the pull a bit three blades would help too and would look nice. The Pee Wee's would also pull it ok but not a fast. The TD .020 has almost twice the power as the PW's. however the PW's do run nice. If it were me, I would try the PW's first before the .049's another thing since this is an RC model and if you go with the .049, I would find both a left had and a right hand prop as to have counter rotating engines and would help with P factor. Reed valve engines are happy turning both ways but if you know that already, Forgive me. BTW, I see that you are a guest here, why don't ya join up, would be glad to have ya? I'm sure you could find another PW in great condition here alot of us have em.
