I'll apologize first; for not having more info. on these. I saw them on Facebook recently. A post by owner "Bill Allemang"; subscriber to CEF member Mark Boesen's "GAS TOY & .049 COLLECTOR page on Facebook.

It's possible that Mark Boesen may know more about these.. and where they're made. I tried searching "Gohl Modellbau".. but couldn't find info. regarding manufacturing. There is another car (Ferrari) listed on the Worthpoint/eBay website.

Wow. I've never seen those before. They look like finely engineered little cars. I would love to see one go around a track.

Those are neat, never saw them before, and miniature TD power too, .020?

Matchbox like tether cars, super neat. Without heat sink head adapter, they must have run hot.

I also had the same observation as George, that, without a heat sink on the cylinder , and with the fins in an inclined cylinder position, plus the bent copper plate shading the cylinder fins from fresh air blast,  the cooling of the engine may be sub-optimal..also, the backplate used seems to be a flat sheet metal as opposed to the stock COX backplate that occupies part of the crank-case volume (unless the 5th bolt in the center of backplate screws holds such a dummy bulge  in place inside the crankcase). With a flat backplate only, I would assume that the crankcase compression ratio is reduced as is the fuel-air charge shot from the case to the cylinder, and thus the engine output is lower?

Sorry for nit-picking!

But overall, this is a beautiful tiny toy and I wish I had one to test it (and improve its crankcase compression by reinstalling the true COX backplate with some adapter, as well as the engine cooling  Old Bugger ).

With a rich needle setting it doesn't need additional cooling air.

If the manufacturer is familiar with Cox engines, the car's chassis should have an integrated back plate to avoid damage to the engine. Cool litle cars i like that stuf Thumbs Up cheers

This may be by the same builder? https://www.mitecars.com/carforsale4.html

I have to assume there is a plug to fill the case. These are not cobbled together, nor chiseled from scrap.

This looks nice. Like I need more things to add to the "build one day...." list.

Google didn't turn much else, but these interesting Cox tether cars by Doug Parker.
