Billy's Vintage Control Line Models at the Breezy Hill Meeting
A few photos from last night's Breezy Hill Flyers club meeting. Billy Lang brought several of his new control line models, along with a scratch-built Scientific 'Kingpin'...which he gave me!!!
One of his models is a rescue Sterling 'Flying Fool', that particularly got my attention because my Uncle Wayne built one for me WAY back in the late 1960's...which was promptly destroyed by my youngest brother when he fell spread-eagle across the thing...
A mystery speed plane and stunter (both with metal belly pans!) rounded out the blast from the past.
The Breezy Hill Club has a steadily growing contingent of control line flyers, and we're counting on a big turn-out for this Fall's Ringmaster Fly-a-Thon.
Flying photo's and video of these and others to follow (hopefully) from our flying day this Sunday.

Kim, the red and black plane with the metal speed pan is somewhat of a rare one. That's a Harter Count Clipper. Mine flew better than I ever imagined just with a Mccoy Red Head .35 on it. The plane is streamlined but heavy. Maneuvers take a bit more room but it was a combat plane designed to fly through your opponent. It's a battering ram but it's capable of inversion, insides and outsides, squares etc. I wouldn't try any vertical eights with that one.
