Homemade Tether Car
Well, it is officially done now with the exception of a test run. And that will be done in the spring of 2019. I got the plans from a member on a Facebook group. I cut it out and painted it with white for a basecoat followed by a simple neon blue and neon green paint job using craft paints. I followed up with sealing with Minwax Polyurethane in a rattle can for a fuel proof finish. It is nothing fancy, but I had wanted one for a while and with the mention of an upcoming contest got my butt in gear. SO here it is. Looking forward to trying it out.

Thank you. Fingers are crossed as I had not yet run this engine since rebuilding and polishing it up. Even if it goes round and round at a snails pace, I'll still be happy.

Pretty similar to a kit that Blackhawk Models used to sell. Is it balsa or pine? Heavier might be better once it gets up some momentum.

I do not honestly know what kind of wood it is. It was just a scrap piece I had laying around that was the right size. Sorry I could not be of help.
