Stuka guys

Thanks to Doc Cox my Stuka is now complete. Nicely detailed pilot figure now occupies the front seat replacing the gunner who was doing double duty.

Didn't want to but I applied a dot of plastic cement to the occupants bottoms to secure them in place, otherwise they rattled around in there. Flyable but not by me. I visualize a grandson/great grandson/great, great grandson etc. taking it to flight someday.

Thanks Doc for your thoughts and generosity.

That can be a tough one. The tail wheel is in between the two fuselage sides. I have not ever disassembled or reassembled a Stuka, I heard it is a three handed job to get and hold everything in place while installing and tightening the screws that hold the sides together!
Depending on how good you are with your hands, It looks like you might be able to loosen or remove the two rear screws while prying the fuselage apart just far enough to “pop” the rear wheel into the retaining lugs. Old plastic can be very brittle and break quite easily. So, if you don’t feel comfortable prying it apart, you will have to remove all screws for the body to separate, then install the tail wheel.

I heard the Stuka was one of the more difficult models to fly.
