SIG 35% Fuel

I used Sig exclusively for almost 30 years. A few years back Sig was sold, that was the start of the problems. Others will chime in but I don't find them to be a dependable source. In my times of need, they were a big let down forcing me to find other fuels. The fuel Bob mentions which is Fitz is also a terrific fuel which is currently my staple fuel. 1/2A fuel is becoming difficult to source and I've been blending my own which I'm finding much cheaper not too mention I know the oil I'm putting in. We've had this discussion in the past, I have 5 gallons of Sig AA castor oil here, when I mix that with certain fuels, it congeals and floats to the top. When I use Klotz Benol, it blends the instant it hits the fuel. Both are 100% castor oil but the Benol has been my go to oil lately. Sig uses Klotz oil which in my opinion is superior.

Agreed, Ken. Ordering from Sig, for quite a while,
has been sketchy at best.
Regarding the castor, I didn't know what Sig was
using in their fuels, but they marketed Baker's AA castor oil.
That might be what you have.

Klotz is the best hands down. I use Benol or Techniplate in my Cox stuff and my 2stroke motorbikes, chainsaws etc.

Hello "ICE", I've been using Sig "Champion" 25 and 35 in my Cox engines ever since the original Cox glow fuel blends became unavailable. If you can obtain either of those Sig blends, I would not hesitate.

The Sig Champion 35 is comparable to the original Cox "Racing Fuel" blend.. and has a 50/50 blend of castor/synthetic making up the proper total percentage of oil for the Cox engines.. so there's no need to add any more oil.

Here's a photo of my last order's invoice. I realize that you're not a domestic customer.. but it will give you an idea of the cost/qt. in 2018. There are no Hazmat surcharges on domestic-shipments of quart-size containers. I'm not sure if that applies to international shipments though.

Just FYI it took me 6 months from the time I ordered until my fuel arrived on my doorstep from SIG. I love their fuel, but yeah that is an excessive wait time. They did follow though.

I managed to get some of the 35% SIG. Nice to see that it has castor and klotz oils in it. I will test it in the near future! Appreciate the kind information!
