Thanks. I removed the internals, they were on 27mhz and the onboard servos were not very powerful. HOWEVER, I flew it with stock equipment, it seemed to do fine until I folded the wing. Hence the need for throttle, wing struts, etc. The stock board didn't have any extra channels for throttle.

What do you think about servo size?

I think in the 9g range is good.

PV Pilot wrote:fwiw, alot of the 9g's servos will take 6 volts. You could go 800 or 1000mAh 2 cell pack that way, and still stay way under the reccommended flying weight and have some zippy, strong servos that you could dial down with a comp radio.

The plane is already heavy, and I don't want it to fly and land like a pig.

How long will a 300mah lipo last one the reciever? I'm using a 10a brushed speed controller to bring the voltage down to 4.8v. I have a Dx6i computer radio.

I might try it, the wing is just so thin - the carbon that would fit inside wouldn't do much of anything. I'll also need a new one as the original is trashed. Struts look more scale to me and you can stress them until you rip the wing in half. I want to be able to do some high G maneuvers.

I made the horrible mistake of building a micro EPP biplane with it. It was trash after that, way too heavy. On the other hand, I repaired a 450 3D plane's nose several times, including holding the mount on just with glue. It's great stuff.
