Control line Clowning!
Hey guys spent the day in Albuquerque NM. Spent the Day with the Control Line Addicts and our very own Jim Hayes.
Here is a Video of me flying the Super Clown as promised. I will add more video's of the flyers as I have time. It took forever to load this one. Sunny and light wind. It was a perfect day.

Excellent flying Ron. There's nothing like that distinctive 4-2 break sound coming from a control line engine.

That looks like a great flying plane. I was afraid you were going to run out of gas on that last loop or two. What kind of fuel setup are you using?

Re: Control line Clowning!
Your definitely right about the feel. I remember flying my first .35 size c/l model back in the early 80's. It was a SIG Twister powered by an .O.S. .35 and was flown on 60ft lines. Now mind you, the only c/l models I had flown up to that point were 1/2A and when I made the first flight, I couldn't believe the line pull! It was scariest and most exhilarating feeling in the world! Even after many years and many planes, I still get that feeling when I fly the bigger Ukie's. Speaking of which, I have a T/F Nobler I need to knock the dust off of.Cribbs74 wrote:Thanks Shawn,

Nah, I was in control the whole time....... 3.5 Oz Brodak Oval. Standard vent. Simple yet effective. Flies like a dream!

I agree the line pull is the best. Still love my 1/2A's though

Re: Control line Clowning!
Here is a few more CL vids of yesterday's events. Jim Hayes is on the S1 and George Hostler is flying the Jr. Ring. The Combat plane is being flown by a fellow who's name eludes me at the moment. Enjoy the Video!

Ron:
Only had time to catch the first video but my ears tell me that is a fine running engine with just the right "break" when needed for great flying.
Have an appointment with an opthemologist in August. She specializes in in stroke-related visual problems such as mine.
I pray that she can help me recover at least some of my vision.
Had a wonderful Fourth camping with my immediate family.
Life is good!
